Renovation of a transportation facility in Windsor, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The Town of Windsor is soliciting proposals from qualified transit stop firms/consultants/contractors for the design and construction of six (6) bus stops with accompanying improvements, including bus stop pads and shelters, along the regional Poudre Express Route within the Town of Windsor. The Town of Windsor, City of Greeley, and City of Fort Collins entered into an intergovernmental agreement regarding a regional bus service, known as the Poudre Express Route, between the Greeley and Fort Collins, with mid-route stops in Windsor. On January 1, 2020, the Poudre Express Route began service in Windsor. There are three stops west-bound and three stops east-bound in Windsor. The six (6) bus stops locations within the Town of Windsor have been identified with Poudre Express Route signs only. Bus stop improvements, including, but not limited to: bus stop pads, shelters, benches, utility connections for lighting, safety lighting, ADA accessibility, and trash receptacles, are needed to support these stops. Depending on location and existing conditions, bicycle parking may be feasible. The Town anticipates available advertisement space for shelters and/or benches. The Town of Windsor will be using the Fort Collins Transit Design Standards for the stop improvements. Phase I - Two (2) stops are located on both the north (west-bound trip) and south (east-bound trip) sides of Eastman Park Drive, west of State Highway 257; - Two (2) stops are located on both the north (west-bound trip) and south (east-bound trip) sides of Main Street (State Highway 392), west of 15 th Street. Evaluate and determine needed improvements for each stop location to implement goals, such as individual shelter needs by location, compliance with ADA accessibility, appropriate bicycle facilities, sidewalk extension or replacement, on-street street lighting, and locations of existing crosswalks, auxiliary turn lanes, and/or traffic signals
