Renovation of a municipal facility in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials and equipment to complete the statement of work, including all afterhours labour for noisy, interruptive and intrusive (hazmat-involved) work. Work comprises of, but not limited to, the following: The removal and replacement of domestic hot and cold-water piping to plumbing fixtures where water will be consumed, namely sinks and lavatories. This includes millwork, mirrors and tile remove and reinstatement for the project scope. Replacement and modification of existing dual check valve assembly and water entry station. Replacement of existing water meters, with digital readout and connection to DDC, namely water entry meter WM-1 and the boiler water make up WM02. Addition of water meters to the domestic hot water systems, Post Office hot water heater and main building domestic hot water heater. Addition of water meter downstream of the water filtration system to calculate water drained due to backwash cycle of filtration system. Addition of temperature sensors on the incoming water main, and domestic hot water from domestic hot water tanks. Addition of Ph filtration system: three [3] tanks with one for redundancy (tank closed off and only opened up when the two operational tanks are being maintained or replaced); two tanks will remain operational to provide the ph enhancement filtration. Full hazmat abatement work must be included in the base bid in accordance to the Hazmat Plan.
