For the installation of Street and Drainage Improvements to Catherine Street, Forest Glenn Street, Mary Jane Street, Nancy Street, Malissa Street, Meadow Run Road, Lisa Road, and Travis Lane in Clinch County, Georgia for the County's Fiscal Year 2019-2021 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) as awarded from the Georgia Department of Transportation The Scope of Work Includes: Street and Drainage Improvements All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of owner in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. All work on the project must be completed within 240 consecutive calendar days of date of Notice to Proceed. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing by the owner prior to bids being opened. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the owner must be submitted with the bid. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, current 2021 Edition, Supplemental Edition, 2016 Editions, and any applicable Special Provisions, contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
