The Scope of Work Includes: Installation of a Tee Ball field, playground, fencing, parking lot, basketball courts, sidewalks, and irrigation repairs. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Clinch County Board of Commissioners in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the Clinch County Board of Commissioners. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Clinch County Board of Commissioners as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed. The meeting will be held at the Clinch County Board of Commissioners’ Chambers located at 22 Court Square, Suite B, Homerville, Ga 31634. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Jaclyn James, County Administrator at 22 Court Square, Suite B, Homerville, GA 31634. Bids will be opened to the public. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The Clinch County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable 2016 Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions, or any other provision contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc.shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening. All Bidders must receive bid package from Engineer in order to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified Bidders will not be considered.
