The work covered by the Contract Documents consists of improvements to the City of Wyoming Water Treatment Plant located at 16700 New Holland Street, Holland, MI. Included in this work is furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, activities, and related costs necessary for completing the improvements. Work includes but is not limited to: * Demolition of the existing yard piping and New Holland Street. * Construction of replacement yard piping including piping, three valve chambers, five new 54-inch ball and one 42-inch ball valve along with various fittings and bends to connect into existing mains. * All associated equipment, corrosion systems, valves, piping, mechanical, electrical, site work and restoration. * Demolition of two 24-inch isolation ball valves and reconstruction with two 36-inch isolation ball valves in the Pump Gallery. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by the City of Wyoming with bonded funds. Bidder's questions will be received until Wednesday April 28th at 5:00pm. It is the intent of the Owner to consider award of the contract, contingent on receipt of funds, to the successful bidder at the May 17, 2021 City Council Meeting. Construction may begin September 1 st on work scope not impacting the operation of the existing transmission of water. Construction activities requiring isolation of the existing system shall commence as soon as possible following the end of the summer high demand period which expected to be the beginning of October. A $20 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. The project shall be completed in accordance with the following dates: - Substantial Completion/Piping System Operational - March 4, 2022 - Final Completion - July 1, 2022 The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least one hundred twenty (120) days thereafter.
