**As of July 19, 2021, the award amount is $126,503.13. Although facility expansion and upgrades have been long overdue at the Library, it took 4 referendum attempts to get approval from the Community to fund a project. One of the main reasons for that eventual, successful outcome was the continual paring down of the scope of work. As a result, there are many items on the wish list of the Community that may not be able to be included in the work. Some of this work is shown on the plans and some is not, but these are described in the Bidding Booklet. To flesh this out, the Board has elected to Bid the work on a trade-by-trade basis with many alternate add items. In that way, once the relevant Bids have been received, they can make informed decisions on what is included in the final scope of work. The Board is aware that requesting alternate pricing increases the time and effort that is required to assemble a Bid, but given their commitment to deliver as much value as possible to the Community, the thinking is that this approach is the best way to achieve that goal. Bidders' cooperation in this regard is deeply appreciated. The Base Bid scope of work is based on H2M drawing set (dated January 2021 with latest "SED Comments" dated April 9, 2021) & specifications date stamped April 9, 2021, this Bidding Booklet, the scope outlined below, a site walkthrough with a representative from Sandpebble and all other Contract Documents. In addition, MEP drawings by Strunk Albert Engineering describe some site MEP work that is to be performed by the 2.100 Contractor. Only those items specifically excluded from the Base Bid Scope of work in this booklet are to be excluded from the Base Bid. These may me listed as work by others, or alternate bid items.
