**As of July 15, 2021, this project has been awarded to James D. Morrissey, Inc., in the amount of $158,995.50. Requests for clarification are due Wednesday, June 9, 2021 12:00:00 PM [(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)]. This project will consist of milling the existing bus lane to remove and replace base course paving. Taper milling along existing curbs, preparation of existing bituminous paving surface including sweeping and tack coat for placement of wearing course for entire parking lot as indicated on drawing. Placement of wearing course and bituminous seal along all transition joints and curb lines. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Palisades School District. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
