The levees are located along the Santa Ana River adjacent to the City of Riverside, CA. The general work for the project includes dewatering, removal and disposal of the existing riprap and replacement with 24-inch grouted and ungrouted stone that extend from the expected scour depth to 5 feet below the top of the levee and from 5 feet below the top of the levee to the levee top, respectively; adding a bedding layer behind the grouted and ungrouted stone; installing filter fabric underneath the bedding layer; and, providing two sub-drain systems and weep holes behind and through the grouted stone. In addition, the scope of work also includes the ABC (aggregate base course) levee crest maintenance roads, geotechnical instrumentation, shoring, temporary access ramps, temporary diversion channels and fences associated with reconstruction of the levees.This acquisition is being solicited as an Unrestricted IFB andwill be awarded under FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding.The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00.
