Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Lethbridge, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 24,595-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City is undertaking a design-bid-build approach to develop the Compost building and general site. This RFQ includes the procurement process to select a general contractor that will perform construction administration and commissioning of the general site and compost building. A supplier will be procured via RFP to perform construction duties for the general site and building. The scope includes: A. ICI and Residential Organics receiving building - included in this RFP. B. Site Preparation for the Organics Compost facility - included in this RFP. C. Install and commission the Covered Aerated Static Pile (CASP) Compost equipment, including the primary and secondary bunkers - Previously procured on a separate contract. On-site coordination will be required. D. Support as needed in the install of the Food Depackager equipment - Previously procured separate contract. On-site coordination will be required. E. Support as needed in the install of the Mixer equipment - Previously procured on a separate contract. On-site coordination will be required. F. Support as needed in the install of the Shredder equipment - To be procured on a separate contract. On-site coordination will be required.
