This project provides for the resurfacing of the Turnpike northbound and southbound lanes with superpave asphalt material. The project also provides for slab stabilization, concrete pavement patching, installation of S.N.A.P., Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings, and post mounted signs. Maintenance and Protection of Turnpike traffic is also included. Milepost A-107.11 is located approximately 2.11 miles North of the Wilkes-Barre Interchange, Exit 105, and Milepost A-115.02 is located approximately 0.2 miles North of the Wyoming Valley Interchange, Exit 115, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
