(As of 02/10/2022) The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for Countywide Guardrail Installation, Repairs, and Replacements. This work shall take place in various locations throughout Putnam County. The work encompasses the removal and/or repairing of damaged guardrails and miscellaneous asphalt per FDOT specifications and the installation of new guardrail components and miscellaneous asphalt per FDOT specifications. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to ensure that all installations that are completed shall be equal to or exceed the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications as outlined in the latest edition of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the latest edition of the FDOT Roadway Design Standards. Base Bid The Base Bid portion of this project will consists of the removal and/or repair of the damaged guardrails at various locations in compliance with current FDOT standard specifications. A portion of the Base Bid will consist of the installation of new guardrails in compliance with current FDOT standard specifications. Alternate Bid The Alternate Bid portion of this project will consists of the removal of the existing guardrails and installation of guardrails and in compliance with current FDOT standard specifications. Contractors may bid on one or more Project Areas. Any discount for bundled pricing or winning more than one portion will be considered. The County reserves the right to award to one or more bidders who best meet the need of the County. The County will evaluate bid price per Project Area as well as collective.
