The School Board of Palm Beach County, Florida invites Certified ROOFING CONTRACTORS, licensed by the State of Florida and prequalified by the School Board to submit Bids for ITB #22-31E. Re-Roofing of approximately 13,000 gross square feet at building #4 as per design specifications, dated October 18, 2021. All roof work to be installed in compliance with the District Master Specifications and Manufacturers' requirements. Description of work includes, but not limited to: Remove shingles, underlayment, flashings and metals down to the existing plywood . Install new 1.5" Expanded Polystyrene Insulation (EPS) insulation screwed through existing plywood into existing metal deck . Install new 5/8" CDX plywood (one side veneer grade "C" and one side veneer grade "D"). Install new asphalt shingle roof system. Furnish & install new 6" wide strip of peel and stick over all plywood joints. Remove existing 7" x 7" gutters and replace with new 7"x 7" box gutters. Remove existing 4" x 5" downspouts and replace with new 4" x 5" downspouts. Reconnect to storm drainage system. Provide new downspout boot at PVC lateral. Minor stucco repair/painting associated with demolition. Furnish and install a complete new lightning protection system on Building #4. SCOPE B Inspect existing plywood, fascia and subfascia. Replace approximately 2,000 s.f. of plywood and/or wood, and insulation where moisture or deterioration is found. Work schedule is based on afternoon / evening working hours. Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement, including but not limited to: all surfaces, building elements, fencing, utilities, onsite and offsite elements, sidewalks, grasses, plantings, irrigation and hardscape disturbed by and/or damaged by construction activities. Contractor to remove and/or modify chain link fencing, including adding gate(s) as required for site access. Openings in fence shall be secured at the endo of each workday. Fencing to be restored to equal or better condition upon the completion of the work.
