Phone: (276) 523-8119 PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Energy, seeks a qualified contractor to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, travel, supervision, parts, and incidentals necessary to provide, deliver and install one new, metal 18x24 carport at 3405 Mountain Empire Road, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219. The contractor shall provide services in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions set forth in this quick quote SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish the following as outlined: a. Provide (1) each new, metal carport with the following specifications:
o 18' wide x24' long Regular Style Carport
o 9' leg height
o 14 gauge tubing (2 1/2 by 2 1/2 square tubing)
o Installation Surface = Asphalt
o Anchor to existing asphalt
o Boxed in eaves
o Corner braces
o Minimum of 130mph & 35psf certification b. Metal wall plates, connectors, screws, bolts, brackets and exposed to the weather shall be stainless steel or hot dipped galvanized. c. Roof deck screws shall have rubber washers. d. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and all necessary tools of trade to provide any goods, and to perform services under the resulting contract. e. All equipment furnished under this contract shall be new and the same as the manufacturer's current production model. f. Equipment shall be complete units with all standard items; no deletions. g. Accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to furnish a complete unit ready for use, shall also be included. Unit shall conform to the best practice known to the body trade in design, quality of material and workmanship. Assemblies, sub-assemblies, and component parts shall be standard for the design. h. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary or required permits, and making notification to the local utility company for utility marking prior to installation if required. Upon delivery, the contractor shall setup and install the structure in accordance with any applicable building codes, at the location designated. The Department of Energy will not be liable for any utility damage etc. resulting from the installation of this temporary structure. i. Installation and assembly shall be completed within fourteen (14) business days from the date of delivery. Delivery hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Thursday. Working hours for assembly and installation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Thursday except for state holidays. j. Specifications sheets for the make and model of the carport your company intends to provide, shall be attached with your bid, along with warranty information. Bid Results:
