The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following approximate quantities: Reconstruction of 350 feet of 10-inch, and 2,000 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer including manholes and laterals. Removal and replacement of HMA surface, curb and gutter, and approximately 3,850 square yards of concrete pavement. Work also includes, but is not limited to, incidental storm sewer removal and replacement, sewer lateral investigations, bypass pumping, maintenance of traffic, and restoration. Contractor shall furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing and placing the systems in operation in compliance with the standards of these specifications. DavisBacon /Prevailing Federal Wages apply to this project. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Benton Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the receipt of bids A Notice to Proceed will be issued upon receipt of Contractor's required bonds and insurance, and successful completion of financial arrangements with the State Revolving Fund, which is expected on or about April 8, 2022. Work on-site may not begin prior to August 1, 2022, must be substantially complete within 82 calendar days of starting work on site, and must be substantially complete no later than November 4, 2022. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least one hundred twenty (120) days thereafter.
