Site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
As of 2/9/2022, per the owner the contract is anticipated to be awarded on Friday, February 11, 2022. The project is the removal and disposal of asbestos and asbestos containing material from the MCIDC Plaza Buildings34 and1-2-36(West Gallery)in advance of building demolition by others for contract 22-01.Bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis. Bid Security must be provided at the time of the bid submission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to MCIDC in the form of a certified check or bank check or a bid bond issued by an accepted surety and executed by the bidder. Surety company executing bonds must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to be in business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. When the successful bidder delivers the executed Agreement to owner, it must be accompanied by the required payment and performance bonds. The performance and payment bonds shall be in the amount of 100% of the liability of the contract. MCIDC reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
