Ferguson, 412-395-7551, Connie.L.Ferguson@usace.army.mil 00 21 00 - 02 SUBMISSION OF QUESTIONS Due to the importance of maintaining the schedule for this project, it is requested that all questions regarding this solicitation be submitted by 11:00 AM ET five (5) days prior to the quote due date identified in Block 10 of the SF18. All questions must be in writing and shall be emailed to: Connie.L.Ferguson@usace.army.mil and LRP.CONTRACTING@USACE.ARMY.MIL with the SUBJECT identified as "W911WN22Q8000 - QUESTIONS." Any questions received after the above deadline are at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Requests for hardcopies of the solicitation, any solicitation attachments and amendments (if applicable) will not be honored. The project is located at 304 Power Plant Road, Dilliner, PA 15327-9603. The existing security fencing will be modified with an additional ~1400' (feet) of new perimeter fencing to include a single-man and double swing gate providing personnel maintenance access while eliminating public access. In general, the tasks required in performance of this contract include:
o Install ~1400' (feet) of new perimeter fencing in accordance with the fence layout in pictures, pages 17 & 18, and typical fence details in drawings, page 28 or Reference Drawings - Point Marion Typical Fencing Details v2.pdf
o Connect the existing fence to the gate on the river side
o Begin fence at existing post on the railroad side guardrail pole (existing pole)
o Remove section of the railroad side guardrail on the interior of the project as required to install the fencing
o Install the fence along the access road, ~3' (feet) from the road.
o Install swing gate near sewage and storage facility at gravel access road
o Install 90 deg turn to enclose the concrete slab
o Install 90 deg turn to follow the property line, maintain 3' (feet) on both sides behind the concrete slab as a building is to be installed on the slab. Building placement is not in the scope of this contract.
o Install 90 deg turn to meet the existing fence.
o Install a swing gate near the transformer
o Finally, terminate the fence on the old fence near the transformer. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $100,000 and $250,000.
