Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Georgetown, Delaware. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,390-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project includes modifications to the current structure and approximately 3,390 s.f. of new building additions attached to the existing structure. The addition will include a large meeting room, lobby, toilet rooms, porch, and associated support spaces. A new deck will connect to the lobby and will include a ramp for accessibility. Interior modifications within the existing structure will include kitchen, mechanical and electrical renovations. Exterior improvements include re-roofing the existing structure to match the new addition, additional parking areas, walkway, site lighting, and storm water management features. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin in consideration of this award, and Minority Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-Owned Business Enterprises and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. Delaware Technical and Community College Additional documents including plans are available from the owner.
