**Project was awarded to Black Eagle Fencing Inc. under GL 211-80-4090 and 211-80-4080 in the amount of $175,327.05. The Town of Wellington (Town) is accepting proposals from qualified Contractors to install permanent security fencing along the perimeters of Wellington's Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The Town is currently expanding both facilities with construction expected to begin in early summer. The scope of work includes installation of fencing, automatic cantilever sliding gates, and walk gates at both treatment plants in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided in this RFP. The selected contractor will be responsible for removing the existing fence and either preserving for re-use on site (WTP only) or disposal off-site. The Town will provide fence staking at all corners and at least 500ft increments in between. If additional staking is necessary, the selected contractor will be responsible for providing. The Town can provide Northing and Eastings to the contractor of all fence corners for use in staking if necessary Estimated WWTP Quantities: - 3,736ft of 6ft chain link fence with three strand barbed wire (see attached details) - Removal of 2,874ft of existing fencing (sheep pen style fencing w/wood posts) - Gates: o One (1) automatic 30ft cantilever sliding gate o Two (2) pedestrian (walk) gates (4 feet wide) o One (1) 12ft wide manual double gate. o Tie into and preserve the existing cantilever sliding access gate at main entrance. Estimated WTP Quantities: - 1,385 ft of 6ft chain link fence with three strand barbed wire (see attached details) - Removal of 805ft of existing 6ft security fencing with 3 strand barbed wire, preserve and re-use in project if possible. - Gates: o One (1) automatic 30ft sliding gate o One (1) pedestrian (walk) gates (4 feet wide) Specifications for the fencing along with standard details are attached to this Request for Proposal. Any modifications to the specifications or standard details should be included in writing with the proposal submittal and will be reviewed by the Town. Gate requirements are as follows: - Solar powered electric gate operation - Entrance shall be keypad controlled o Keypad shall have cellular call out ability o Preferred Model is the Ascent X1, cellular telephone entry system with Keypad.
