The City of Prince Rupert is seeking quotations from qualified proponents in response to this request for Quotation for the provision of Services (as defined herein) to be carried out within the required schedule set out herein for the thorough inspection, assessment and repair design of Five (5) city owned bridges (the "Project"). The City of Prince Rupert owns and maintains 5 bridges. These bridges are located on 6th Avenue East at Hays Creek, Second Avenue West at Moresby, George Hills Way at Cameron Cove and two (2) at the Civic Centre on McBride Street. Of these 5 bridges, three of them are large scale wooden trestle bridges over 80 feet high and spanning approximately 400 feet long. The remaining bridge is concrete and steel spanning approximately 25 feet. The three large wooden trestle bridges are located at 6th Avenue East, 2nd Avenue East and George Hills Way and are part of the City's road network. The fourth and fifth bridge is access for the Civic Centre and bus route. Scope of Services: The services will comprise the following scope of work for the Project including, without limiting: (i) Complete close proximity assessment/inspection, and analysis of all 5 bridges (ii) Utilization of snooper truck, coring tools and geotechnical equipment (iii) Design, sketch, and compile quantities on each bridge. Design and sketches to be ready to tendered for construction (iv) List, in priority sequence, all repairs and maintenance required (v) Prepare estimate (Class C) for all repairs (to create budget for repairs) (vi) Complete required tests on all bridges as per Provincial and Federal Guidelines (See Part F) (vii) Complete analysis and review of the historic and current drawings, reports, inspections and works on the bridges completed to current date (Information will only be provided to successful proponent) (viii) Compile all reports, findings, and repair designs into a report and present 5 and 10 year rehabilitation plan for all bridges along with repair cost estimates (ix) Work will include geotechnical soil stability The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
