Site work and new construction of a religious / funeral development in Sumner, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 4,800-square-foot religious / funeral development; and for site work for a religious / funeral development.

The City of Sumner solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Architectural and Civil Engineering Design. Services are anticipated to commence in the second quarter of 2022 and extend for approximately two (2) years with the option for the City of Sumner to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. The City of Sumner reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ), to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. The City of Sumner reserves the right to retain the services of responsive firm(s) for subsequent phases associated with this project. Prospective consultants will be required to comply with the ADA and Civil Rights requirements as adopted by the City of Sumner. Aspects of this project may be subject to WA State Prevailing Wage rules, filings and requirements. Consultants will be considered for the following project. The City of Sumner owns the property at 12319 Valley Ave E, Sumner WA known as the "City of Sumner Cemetery". The City of Sumner is seeking professional services for the design of a new cemetery building facility. The new cemetery facility will be a 40 x 120ft Pre-engineered building, including an 1800sf area for office space on the north side of the facility. This will consist of an office space, breakroom and 2 lavatory facilities. The remainder of the enclosed space of the facility will be used for equipment storage. This project will also include the design of a septic system for the new facility. The design work will include plans specifications and estimates. The current cemetery facility directly across from the paved lot houses the Cemetery Department and will need to be able to maintain access to this facility during construction activities. The City of Sumner reserves the right to retain the services of responsive firm(s) for subsequent phases associated with the project. The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) should describe the composition of the proposed team, the qualifications of the key individuals identified on that team, and the relevant experience of the team on similar projects. List at least five (5) but no more than seven (7) projects of similar complexity and magnitude undertaken and completed in the past ten (10) years and provide references and a phone number for each reference. Provide resumes of at least two (2) but no more than four (4) key members of the proposed project team and no more than four key members of each sub consultant who will work on this project. Each resume should be limited to no more than two (2) pages in length. Of the listed reference projects, list the involvement of proposed project team members for whom resumes have been submitted. Familiarity with relevant codes and ability to coordinate projects with jurisdictional agencies. List sub consultants and specify their involvement on the project. List at least two (2) but no more than five (5) projects of similar complexity and magnitude undertaken by the sub consultant in the past five (5) years and provide references and phone numbers for each project. The consultant may submit a brochure or narrative discussion, not to exceed two (2) 8.5" x 11" single sided pages, that provides any further information describing the firm's qualifications for this project (not included in the 20 pages). The proposal should be accompanied by a brief introductory letter stating your firm's interest in the project (not included in the 20 pages). Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Qualification/Expertise of Proposed Project Manager and Key Project Team Members; 2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm; 3) Approach to the project; 5) Past Performance on similar projects/References.
