The Holyoke Community College, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Theater Code Upgrades Phase 2 in Holyoke Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by BIA.studio. The Project consists of: the renovation of the Leslie Philips Theater. Work includes but is not limited to: New Audience Seating; New Orchestra Pit Portable Platform; New Handrails and Guardrails; Architectural Improvements; New Finishes; Electrical Improvements; and Fire Alarm Improvements. Work will be completed in two phases. Phase 2.1 on site construction start date is 12/17/22, substantial completion date is 1/6/23, and final completion date is 1/13/23. Phase 2.2 on site construction start date is 5/22/23, substantial completion date is 7/28/23, and final completion date is 8/11/23. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. This project is being electronically bid and hard copy bids will not be accepted. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Holyoke Community College. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00.
