The City of Calabasas Community Services Department is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP). The City seeks to retain the services of a consultant firm, or firms working in partnership, to carry out a comprehensive recreation needs assessment for the reopening of the Agoura Hills Calabasas Community Center. This effort will require close coordination with the City and other community recreation providers. The Community Services Department consists of 13 experienced and long-term personnel in the divisions of Administration, Parks/Recreation, Senior Center, and Tennis & Swim Center. Together with 21 hourly full time equivalent (FTE) staff, the department team supports numerous programs, contract operations, capital projects, facilities and long-range planning including after school care and camps, annual community events, parks and recreation, sports programs, teen activities, and trails. Prominent annual events include the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival and 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Public facilities include the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, Calabasas Senior Center, Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center, Juan Bautista de Anza Park, Creekside Park & Preschool, and Headwaters Corner Interpretive Center.
