The infrastructure includes approximately 150m of watermain, 600m of 750mm trunk sewer, the flow control structure at the Splitter Manhole,1700m of 1050 pipe conveyance system, three (3) deep earthen reservoir storage cells that CSR facility is comprised of, a pumphouse and a treatment facility to control to discharge to AEP water reuse guidelines, and 550m of 300mm forcemain to discharge the CSR storage facility. The design scope will include several stormwater system components for the CSRO and a portion of the adjacent watermain along Rainbow Road between Waterford Boulevard and the Western Headworks Canal. The stormwater infrastructure will include: - 150m of 500mm watermain from Waterford Boulevard to a stub at the WID Canal. - 600m of 750mm storm gravity trunk from Rainbow Road to the Rainbow falls underdrain. - The flow control structure/ Splitter Manhole, which is located South of the Rainbow Falls Underdrain. - 1700m (1040m already constructed) of 1050mm conveyance pipe from the splitter manhole to the CSR facility. - The CSR facility design will include three storage cells hydraulically connected with piping which may require flow controls to regulate flow transfer between the storage cells. - Pumping and treatment facility at the outlet of the CSR. TIMELINE: Design is underway. Tender and construction timelines may be confirmed by mid-2026. Multiple tender packages will ensue for this project and construction will be phased. *Budget is unreleased. *The City of Chestermere has established a wholly owned municipally controlled business referred to as "The Utility Co.". The Utility Co. has contracted the City of Chestermere to provide project administration, management, and oversight on this project.
