Demolition, site work and addition to a pre-engineered storage facility in Duluth, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the addition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

Duluth Seaway Port Authority, will receive sealed Bids at the Duluth Seaway Port Authority office, for the East Annex Warehouse Expansion - Bid Package #2, for the purpose of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and skill required for the completion of the Pre-Engineered Metal Building. Adolfson & Peterson Construction dba A&P Midwest LLC is the Construction Manager at Risk, and the successful low bidder shall enter into contract as a subcontractor of A&P Midwest LLC. The Construction Manager, Architect, and/or Owner will review the bidding procedures, Bidding Documents and other conditions with interested Bidders and answer questions. There will be a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in effect for this project. Duluth Seaway Port Authority East Annex Warehouse Expansion - Bid Package #2 will include bidding the below work scopes, but are not limited to the work scopes and work descriptions listed. Project is to be bid tax exempt, and subcontractor will be appointed as owners purchasing agent to utilize Duluth Seaway Port Authority tax exempt status. Duluth Seaway Port Authority can accept either the labor or material bid separately. 02a Concrete Labor, 02b Concrete Material, 03a Masonry Labor, 03b Masonry Material, 04a General Construction Labor, 04b General Construction Material, 05a Overhead Doors Labor, 05b Overhead Doors Material, 06a Fire Suppression Labor, 06b Fire Suppression Material, 07a Mechanical Labor, 07b Mechanical Material, 08a Electrical Labor, 08b Electrical Material, 09a Earthwork Labor, 09b Earthwork Material, 10a Pilings Labor, 10b Pilings Material All bids shall be contained in a sealed envelope plainly marked showing that such envelope contains a Bid for the Project, prepared in accordance to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check, in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, executed by the Bidder as principle and by surety company authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota, payable to Duluth Seaway Port Authority, conditioned that if the principle's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the Bidder, the Bidder will within ten (10) days after Notice of Award has been executed, will execute and effect a contract with A&P Midwest LLC in accordance with the terms of the Bidders bid and a contractor's bond as required by law and regulations. The bid security of the two lowest bidders will be retained until the Notice of Award has been executed, but no longer than sixty (60) days. The bid security is a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the work described within the Bidding and Contract Documents. Countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. The provisions of Minn. Stat. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids shall comply with the provisions of the statute. Prevailing wages apply Successful Bidders will be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. No Bids may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of this Advertisement for Bids and any Bids received that are deficient with the requirements of this section will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. Bids will be awarded on the basis of the lowest, responsible and responsive Bidder as determined most favorable to Duluth Seaway Port Authority's best interest. Duluth Seaway Port Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to hold all Bids for a period of forty (45) days from the date of opening Bids. Bidding and awarding the contracts are subject to the provisions of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority Purchasing & Contracting Policy.
