Site work for a civil project in Creston, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
Overview of the Work/Service Required Permanent deactivation of Branches 7 and 8 of the Boundary Forest Service Road. Deactivation will include: Full removal of bridges N7-150 and N7-151 superstructures, abutments and pylons. Most wooden bridge components are creosoted and will be required, as part of the contract, to be hauled off site to an approved facility (Creston RDCK will accept treated wood). Minor deactivation road works past N7-151 bridge on Branch 7. FSR was previously deactivated, but requires some minor works to stabilize the road prism. No road deactivation works required past bridge N7-150 on Branch 8-just bridge removal. All bridge removal works for N7-150 and 151 must be conducted under the contractors own Environmental Monitor's prescribed measures, plan and administration. All in-stream works to be conducted with-in the Aug 20-October 15 fish window. Located at: 24.5 Km and 29.25 Km on the Boundary Forest Service Road (Boundary FSR branches east off the Maryland FSR at 12.0 Km, Maryland FSR takes off Highway #3, 27.3 Km west of Creston). Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
