The Town of Firestone is requesting qualifications from qualified consultants to conduct a five-year Water Rate Study to also include Stormwater fees, Storage & Infrastructure fees, and Tap fees. The goal of this project is to implement a rate structure to fund water utility operations and maintenance expenses adequately, debt service, specified reserves, capital expenditures, depreciation, and other revenue requirements, including foreseeable future projects. The work will consist of professional water rate consulting services to assist in selecting the appropriate rate structure and schedule for adoption by the Town. The Study will be based on a review of the Town's funds and budgets, water action plan, customer classes, current usage data, meter sizes and quantities, and growth projections.
