Renovation and Alterations Single-Prime, Prevailing Wage Contract Health Sciences Building 730 Valley Road, Summerdale, PA 17093 Project Manuals and Drawings in electronic format will be provided to all Bidding General Con-tractor for bidding purposes at no charge. Single-Prime Bid Contract is requested for Renovation & Alterations of existing 4,335 square foot one-story building consisting of General, Civil, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, & Electrical Construction as a total bid package by the General Contractor. The bids shall publicly open and read aloud at the time and place stated above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check, or the bid bond of an approved Security Company, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the proposal. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the Central Penn College.No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of Ninety (90) days after the date of the opening of bids, except if delayed by a required approval of another government agency, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case contract award would occur within 120 days of the date of bid opening. This may also be extended by mutual written consent of the contracting body and the bidder(s) and only in thirty (30) day extensions of the date for the award. Successful Bidders must submit Performance and Payment Bonds using the form provided in the bidding documents, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract. This project is subject to prevailing wages. Corporations seeking to bid and who are organized under the laws of a state other than Pennsylvania must secure the appropriate certificates, authorizing them to conduct within the Commonwealth. The entire work shall be completed, ready for use, on or before 150 day after the Award of the Contract. All questions pertaining to the documents and bidding should be directed to the Architect, via RFI Email request. Verbal inquiries and communication will not be considered. Responses will be in writing by email and formal Addenda issued no later than four (4) working days before bids are due. Larry E.
