Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a retail development in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a retail development; for the demolition of a retail development; for the renovation of a retail development; and for site work for a retail development.
Project was awarded to Nathaniel’s Roofing & More in the amount of $166,446.37. The City of East St. Louis is requesting bids for work to be performed at 1437 Bond Ave, East Saint Louis, Illinois. The City is currently looking for a company that can provide the services as outlined in the scope of work below under the ARP Business Economic Recovery Grant. The required services and performance conditions are described in the Scope of Work. The City of East St. Louis encourages certified MBEs and WBEs to submit bids in accordance with the terms and conditions required. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, to request additional information concerning any bid for purposes of clarification, to accept or negotiate any modification to any bid following the dead-line for receipt of all bid, and to waive any irregularities if such would serve the best interests of the City. Carlos Mayfield, City Manager Bidders shall file all documents necessary to support their bid and include them with their bid. Bidders shall be responsible for the actual delivery of bids during business hours to the address indicated above. It shall not be sufficient to show that the bid was mailed in time to be received before scheduled closing time. The City of East St. Louis shall not be responsible for the premature open-ing of a bid, which is not properly addressed or identified. Late bids will not be considered. All bids shall become the property of the City. Each of the 8 Proposals Shall Include the Following Information at a Minimum: a. Copy of the RFB b. City Registration if applicable (Contact Regulatory Affairs Dept.) c. Company Profile d. Proposal/Bids e. Proof of Commercial General Liability Insurance f. Disclosure Affidavit g. Vendor Information Request Form h. W9 i. Addenda Acknowledgement (if applicable) J. Affidavit of Participation k. Contractor's MBE/WBE Self Declaration Form (if applicable) I. Subcontractor Affidavit (if applicable) m. Equal Opportunity Clause Verbal or Written Information: No verbal or written information which is obtained other than through this RFB or its addenda shall be binding on the City of East St. Louis. No employee of the City of East St. Louis is authorized to interpret any portion of this RFB or give information as to the requirements of the RFB in addition to that contained in or amended to this written RFB document. The selected Vendor will be our primary source for the following: 1. Providing the Following Scope of Work: a. Construction of 30"X 20" Extension to the Rear of Existing Structure B. Exterior Walls Should Be Constructed of 20 Gauge 6" Studs. Exterior Finish Material to Be Consistent across the Entire Structure C. Install 3-5/8" Metal Studs to Frame Up (Interior) New Partition Walls Opening D. Install R-13 to Insulate Th E N Ew Walls/exterior Walls E. Install N Ew 5/8" Drywall on All Interior Walls F. Saw Cut Floor to Install New Plumbing for New Restroom, Dishwashing, and Prep Plumbing Fixtures G. Install New Waste and Water Connections for All New Plumbing Fixtures H. Install New Hand Sink I. Install New Flooring and Cove Base (After Painting Has Been Completed) J. Install New 5/8" Drywall Ceiling K. Install New Surface Mounted Lighting Fixtures I. Install New 5 Ton a/c Unit and Furnace M. Upgrade Electric to 400 Amp Service Exterior Soffit Wall 1. Eliminate Existing Roof Overhang in Favor F a Flat Wall From the Ground to the Carpet Wall 2. Install Metal Cantilevered Awnings 3. Frame and Install Metal Clad Sheath Ering for Marquee to Front of Building 4. Install New Roof and Downspouts for Entire Structure 5. Install 42" X 80" Steel Door and 36"X80" Steel Door The City will select the successful bid based upon several evaluation factors: including features as outlined in this RFB. The selection of finalists and the final award will be decided based on the bid submitted by a qualified vendor that best meets the needs of the City as determined by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
