The work entails resurfacing and other major maintenance items for two pools owned by the school district. One is located at Gresham High School and the other at Sam Barlow High School. GBSD reserves the right to postpone the receipt of Bids, reject any or all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the ITB process. The Gresham-Barlow School District is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB)to establish a Contract for swimming pool resurfacing and maintenance at two high schools.
The pools are located at Gresham High School(GHS) and Sam Barlow High School(SBHS), and both need significant repairs. Work will include removal of plaster to concrete substrate, repair of the substrate, replacing broken wall tiles, adding swim lane tiles, and other work necessary for modernizing and maintaining the pools.
1. GHS work will consist of surface preparation; crack isolation; installation of Universal Cement and commercial quartz; removal and replacement of the waterline tile, gutter cap tile, tile inside the gutter, deck tile; and suction outlet removal and replacement (main drains and piping).
2. SBHS work will consist of surface preparation; crack isolation; installation of Universal Cement and commercial quartz; removal and replacement of the waterline tile, gutter cap tile, tile inside the gutter, deck tile.
3. All work completed at both sites will conform to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Both parties acknowledge that Contractor is the subject matter expert, and it is the responsibility of Contractor to ensure such compliance.
Schedule: Both pools will be drained by District by April 30, 2023. Contractor will work on the pools between May 1, 2023 and July 31, 2023. All work, including pool readiness for public use, shall be completed no later than July 31, 2023.
