City of East Palo Alto Notice Inviting Bids US 101 / University Avenue Interchange Improvements Project City Project No. ST-1 Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as US 101/ University Avenue Interchange Improvements Project (the "Project") includes a pedestrian overcrossing, highway off-ramp improvements (total: 2), roadway reconstruction, traffic signal modifications, intersection improvements, and landscaping, according to plans and specifications prepared by the City of East Palo Alto. Funding for the Project is from Federal, State, and Local sources. The DBE goal for the Project is 22%. The number of working days for all work except the plant establishment period is two hundred and eighty (280) working days. The number of working days including the plant establishment period is five hundred and fifty (550) working days. As of June 1, 2023, the general contractor is in pre-construction. Construction is anticipated to begin July 2023.
