PROPOSALS Respondents are invited to provide to the Long Beach Water Department proposals for RFP Construction Management Services for Spinnaker Bay Drive Water Main Replacement Phase 2 This work involves furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary for installation of new 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, wax tape of ductile iron flanges, tape wrap and polyethylene wrapped ductile iron fittings, couplings, thrust blocks, valve anchors; installation of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch gate valves; installation of 1-inch and 2-inch water services, fire services and air relief valve assemblies; installation of fire hydrant assemblies; installation of 2-inch blow-off assemblies; connections to existing water mains; relocation of existing sewer laterals; removal and abandonment of existing water main, services, valves and fire hydrant laterals; removal and disposal of existing fire hydrant head and bury; appurtenant items such as traffic control, pavement removal and replacement, excavation, backfill and compaction, pressure testing and disinfection, and all other work necessary to complete this project complete under the direction of the Long Beach Utilities Department. The work site is located on Spinnaker Bay Drive from Parsons Landing to Smuggler's Cove, Parsons Landing, Whites Landing, Salta Verde Point, Prince Island, and Smugglers Cove. Spinnaker Bay Drive is a public street, while the other streets mentioned above are privately owned by the Spinnaker Bay Homeowners Association (HOA). The estimated construction cost for this project is $2,600,000.
