SCOPE OF WORK The Long Beach Utilities Department (LBU) is requesting quotes for Fabrication and Welding Services in accordance to the Utilities Department needs and /or fund availability. The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, parts, equipment, and labor necessary to provide the services. The Contractor shall be located within a twenty (20) mile radius of LBU facilities. If no bidders meet this proximity requirement, the nearest vendor meeting this requirement may be considered. The Contractor shall be capable of fabricating and welding the following material, but not limited to: stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastic, black steel, and titanium. Fabricating and welding services shall include, but not limited to: selects, cuts, shapes, fabricates, welds, bonding, mills, lathes, threads, and taps. Additionally, Contractor shall diagnose, troubleshoot, fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. All work shall be done within (5) five days unless more time is needed by the contractor with approval by LBU. Contractor shall be capable of providing pickup and delivery services from and to LBU when requested. Additionally, Contractor shall have the capability to perform work at LBU facilities and other locations throughout the City of Long Beach. Response time for work at LBU facilities and other city locations shall be within two (2) hours. CONTRACT PERIOD The contract shall be for a term of one (1) year.
