Notice Text NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Municipal Administrator, 25 North Second Street, City of Waterville, OH 43566, until 2:30 p.m. (local time) on April 19, 2023, for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the Canal Road Waterline Replacement and at that time be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of constructing 2677 feet of 8-inch watermain, 7 gate valves, 3 tapping sleeves and valves, 8 offset hydrant assemblies, 18 reconnection of water services, abandonment of existing waterlines, various roadway and drive replacements, site restoration, and associated work. The Contract Documents including the construction plans, proposal form and specifications, are on file at the office of Proudfoot Associates, Inc., 10210 Waterville Street, Whitehouse, Ohio 43571, and may be obtained during normal business hours upon non- refundable payment of $50.00. The Contract Documents will also be on file in the Bids for the said project must be signed and enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Administrator of the City of Waterville and marked Canal Road Waterline Replacement. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashiers check payable to the City in the amount of ten (10%) of the bid as a guarantee that if the work is awarded to the bidder, he will, within fifteen (15) days of the date of such award enter into a proper and acceptable contract, otherwise, said amount accompanying his bid will be forfeited to the City of Waterville, Ohio, as liquidation damages. Bids received after the scheduled Bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Lucas County, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. Bidders shall submit with their Bid the affidavit required under Ohio Revised Code Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lucas County, Ohio. (Contract Page AC-1) The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond, Maintenance Bond, Certificates of Insurance, and ORC Section 3517.13 Affidavit. Bidders are advised that the City of Waterville intends to award the contract for this work in mid-July, 2023. The City of Waterville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be the most favorable to the City.
