The project consists of installing 975 feet of eight-inch waterline, hydrants, and gate valves along Farnsworth Road, three alleys and two cross roads and reconnection of water services. Milling and resurfacing of Farnsworth Road from the Anthony Wayne Trail to River Road and a portion of River Road. Installing pavement markings throughout. Installing asphalt stamped and colored crosswalks. Bids for the said project must be signed and enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Administrator of the City of Waterville and marked Farnsworth Road Waterline & Resurfacing Improvements-Rebid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashiers check payable to the City in the amount of ten (10%) of the bid as a guarantee that if the work is awarded to the bidder, he will, within fifteen (15) days of the date of such award enter into a proper and acceptable contract, otherwise, said amount accompanying his bid will be forfeited to the City of Waterville, Ohio, as liquidation damages. Bids received after the scheduled Bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Lucas County, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. Bidders shall submit with their Bid the affidavit required under Ohio Revised Code Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lucas County, Ohio. (Contract Page AC-1) The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond, Maintenance Bond, Certificates of Insurance, and ORC Section 3517.13 Affidavit. The City of Waterville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be the most favorable to the City. The City also reserves the right to add or subtract from the quantities shown in the proposal.
