The Town of Charlestown, Rhode Island is soliciting proposals from qualified landscape architecture, planning and design firms to provide master planning services for Ninigret Park, a 230-acre multi-use park located off Old Post Road in the coastal pond region of Charlestown. The Town is seeking professional services in the update of the 2008 Ninigret Park Master Plan. Working with the adopted 2008 plan and a draft 2014 plan, and under the direction of the Charlestown Parks and Recreation Commission, the purpose of the 2023 update is to describe current uses and programs, identify site and environmental issues, and develop a detailed long-term plan for future use and maintenance of the park. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received in response to this request. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. As of April 25, 2023, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
