The work consists of the replacement of existing aging small diameter water mains with approximately 6,070 linear feet of 6-inch, 8-inch and 12-inch diameter water main as well as replacement of approximately 2,950 linear feet of water services and installation of 17 new fire hydrants. The work also consists of replacement of approximately 870 linear feet of 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch sanitary sewer main, of which approximately 450 linear feet of 10-inch and 12-inch sanitary sewer is located in the Railroad Right-Of-Way. Additionally, included is the rehabilitation of approximately 175 vertical feet of existing sanitary manholes, the replacement of 6 sanitary sewer manholes totaling 35 vertical feet, the installation of 6 new sanitary sewer manholes totaling 45 vertical feet, the rehabilitation or replacement of approximately 120 linear feet of sewer laterals, and all associated pavement restoration, erosion control, maintenance of traffic measures, and appurtenances. The work also includes replacement of 12 storm inlet tops. The project is located in the City of Lynchburg along the following Streets: Easley Avenue, Triangle Place, Seabury Avenue, Herbert Street, Hughes Avenue, Pocahontas Street, Powhatan Street, Utah Street, Iowa Street, Idaho Avenue, and Campbell Avenue.
