This project requires contractor to be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the water quality, the health of the animals in the park and pond and maintenance of the floating island. The contract would be on call to address issues involving aggressive wildlife, non-native/invasive species, the re-homing of animals as needed, the eggs as needed. The City of Lake Forest is seeking proposals for Wildlife Mitigation and Pond Maintenance Services at Veterans Park, located at 23102 Ridge Route Drive. The City is looking to contract for on-call Wildlife Mitigation Services on an as-needed basis and the ongoing monthly maintenance of the pond. The successful contractor would be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the water quality, the health of the animals in the park and pond and the maintenance of the floating island. The contract would be on call to address issues involving aggressive wildlife, non-native/invasive species, the re-homing animals as needed, and eggs as needed. The maintenance includes a contingency of $12,000 per year, or $36,000 for the three-year contract, for extra work. Contractor is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Section 1720, et seq., and 1770, et seq., as well as California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 16000, et seq., (“Prevailing Wage Laws”), which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on “public works” and “maintenance” projects.
