The project involves the installation of HDPE Pipe , Flared End Sections , Type C Inlets (Std. & Type 4 Boxes), Rip Rap Aprons, Roadside Swales, Tree Removal , Fine Grade/ Roadway Compaction, No. 2A Stone Road Base, 19mm Binder Course,9.5mm Wearing Course, Roadway Reprofiling Excavation, Removal of Existing Twin Metal Pipe Culvert, Elliptical RCP Culvert , Cast in Place Concrete Headwall/ Endwall, Guiderail and End Treatments, Rip Rap Slope Protection, Diversion Berm, Clearing and Grubbing/ Mobilization, E&S Pollution Controls and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, a 100% payment bond or certified check, a workeraEUR(TM)s compensation affidavit, and a certificate of insurance naming West Vincent Township and LTL Consultants as additional insureds, all within 10 days after the contract is awarded. A 15% maintenance bond will also be required upon completion of the project. West Vincent Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. All of the Superpave asphalt material required for this project will be purchased directly by the Township.
