Renovation of a municipal facility in Penndel, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work under the Base Bid consists of the replacement of a handicap ramp, stairs, door, and handrails at the rear of the building to be ADA compliant; replacement of the interior Council room door to be ADA compliant; door replacement, trim removal, repainting, and reinstallation at the front door of Borough Hall with an ADA-compliant front door; and the installation of a service counter within the interior of the building as shown on the Architectural Plans. The door replacement for the rear entrance under the base bid also includes the installation of handicap push-button automatic opening hardware.The work under Alternate Bid #1 consists of the installation of a handicap push-button automatic opener at the front entrance of the building. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Penndel Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. This project was financed (in part) by a grant from Pennsylvania Gaming Revenues, from the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks, under the Municipal Grant Program created by Act 71 of 2004 as reenacted and amended, from language introduced by Senator Robert M. Tommy Tomlinson. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Penndel Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Penndel Borough. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Penndel Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Township.
