This project consists of the following work: Ultra-Thin Wearing Course Seal on Crescent Street, Highland Avenue and Manor Avenue This work is the construction of a polymer-modified emulsified asphalt membrane (UTFCEM - Ultra-Thin Friction Course Emulsified Asphalt) immediately overlaid with an ultra-thin bonded wearing course of hot-mix asphalt concrete (UTWC - Ultra-Thin Wearing Course) in one pass of a single paving machine. Work shall be consistent with PennDOT Publication 408 Section 489 - Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course unless otherwise specified herein. Crack Seal Borough Streets as Preparation for Seal This work is the cleaning and sealing of longitudinal and transverse joints and random cracks in the existing pavement surface of the roads to be sealed. Work shall be consistent with PennDOT Publication 408 Section 469 - Asphalt Joint and Crack Sealing Optional: Crack Seal Select Borough Streets This work is the cleaning and sealing of longitudinal and transverse joints and random cracks in the existing pavement surface of specified Borough Streets. Work shall be consistent with PennDOT Publication 408 Section 469 - Asphalt Joint and Crack Sealing Bids may be held by PB for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
