Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hampton, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Winnacunnet Cooperative School District will receive bids for replacement of one (1) Rooftop Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Unit at Winnacunnet High School, Hampton, NH. Provide all tools, labor, materials, and equipment to replace one existing roof mounted air handler, per the plans and specifications prepared by CS, Engineering. This shall be a turnkey installation i.e. it is to include all electrical and roof work. Submit proposed equipment list. The following scope of work is intended to provide a general summary and sequencing of the necessary tasks to complete the AIR HANDLING UNIT replacement project. A. Protect existing membrane roof with durable coverings in locations where the potential for damage to the roof system exists (equipment and material laydown, worker access, etc.). B. Valve off and disconnect existing natural gas supplies to the rooftop AHU unit. C. Disconnect electrical supply and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) the disconnect switch per OSHA requirements. All electrical LOTO shall be completed by a NH Licensed Electrician. D. Remove and dispose of existing rooftop AHU. All unit materials shall be properly disposed of at a licensed disposal or recycling facility. E. Temporarily weather-seal the rooftop openings at end of each workday (as approved by Owner). Schedule work so as to minimize exposure during forecasted wet weather and high winds. F. Damages caused by water infiltration resulting from the failure of the Contractor to secure each day's work in a weather tight manner, will be corrected at the Contractor's expense. Included as damages will be all labor costs incurred by the Owner as a result of such water infiltration. G. Clean existing supply and return ducting. Cleaning shall be completed with remote mechanical equipment. Duct walls shall be visibly clean of all accumulated dust and debris. H. After removal of existing unit and cleaning of duct work the owner's representative must be notified for inspection and authorization to continue installation of new unit. I. Install new rooftop HVAC, in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. AHU shall be placed directly onto new rooftop curb adapter by crane. The crane and operator shall comply with all OSHA requirements for crane safety including but not limited to pre-lift/ load testing, signalman and operator qualifications, inspection of lifting and rigging devices, crane safety devices, and crane inspection. J. Connect ducting, gas supply piping, and all electrical wiring to new AHU. All electrical connections shall be completed by a NH Licensed Electrician. All gas piping shall be completed by a NH Licensed Plumber. K. Repair and replace all removed or damaged ducting insulation, building seals and piping. L. Controls will be by Siemens contracted directly to SAU21 M. In coordination with Siemens, the Contractor shall commission all installed systems and complete start-up and testing report. The scope of work and specifications are attached hereto. Refer to the attached phased project drawings prepared by CSI Engineering. This project is contingent on a successful vote by the voters of the Winnacunnet School District at the March 2024 voting. Should this article fail, the project will not move forward. Should the article pass, the district will be able to enter into a contract no later than April 2024. It is important to note the project will not begin until summer 2024 and bid amount must be held until that time. All project work shall be completed during the 2024 summer school break (June 17 through August 16, 2024). The Contract will, in general, be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in part or whole, whether from responsible bidders or otherwise, even though the bidder may not submit the lowest bid. The School District has sole discretion in determining the best interest of the district and to waive any informality deemed to be in the best interest of the School District. Bidders shall be responsible for any and all expenses they may incur in preparing their bids. Bidders shall carefully examine the specifications and site to obtain first-hand knowledge and verify requirements and existing conditions.
