Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Dayton, Washington. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of February 28, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for the replacement of EATON BRIDGE. The proposed improvements include the construction of a new bridge, associated approach roadway and the removal of the existing single-span timber bridge supported by concrete abutments. This project has 13% DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: New single-span prestressed slab bridge (20-10" x 65'). New approach roadway design. Upstream temporary detour bridge/culvert design. Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications. Structural design for retaining walls and bridge. Determination of R/W needs and R/W plan preparation Columbia County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, PS&E, CE, CN, Surveying or Material Testing) associated with this project.
