Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Dayton, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for the replacement of EATON BRIDGE. The proposed improvements include the construction of a new bridge, associated approach roadway and the removal of the existing single-span timber bridge supported by concrete abutments. This project has 13% DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: New single-span prestressed slab bridge (20-10" x 65'). New approach roadway design. Upstream temporary detour bridge/culvert design. Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications. Structural design for retaining walls and bridge. Determination of R/W needs and R/W plan preparation Columbia County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, PS&E, CE, CN, Surveying or Material Testing) associated with this project.
