Renovation of a water / sewer project in Holley, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The goal of this project is to replace and upgrade equipment to restore the Village of Holley's WWTP capacity to its original design capacity during wet weather conditions and to replace aging infrastructure with more energy efficient equipment and to comply with the new SPDES permit limits for effluent disinfection and chlorine residuals. The following upgrades will be a part of this project: Aeration system improvements (aeration diffusers and air supply blowers), Ultraviolet disinfection system upgrade, Roofing system replacements, and Electrical system upgrades including new emergency generation. Contract term: 01/31/2025 Location: 41 Frisbee Terrace, Holley, NY 14470 The work generally consists of the following improvements at the Village of Holley Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will be addressed as part of this project: a. Provide new grating, stairs, moveable stairs, structural steel, and all associated anchorage requirements for the new concrete modifications to the existing Chlorine Contact Tank to house the new UV disinfection system. Provide and install new UV disinfection system with all accessories and appurtenances. Provide new canopy roof structure, framing, sides, doors, and all accessories onncw UV concrete chamber. Provide serpentine weir for the UV disinfection system. Provide site improvements, including, but not limited to, fencing relocations, erosion, and sediment control measures, catch basins, paving, bollards, and site restoration. Remove existing shed located behind the existing chlorine contact tank. Remove existing mechanical surface aerators and associated equipment in aeration Tank No. 1 and reinstall in aeration Tank No. 2. Provide and install new fine bubbler diffuser package system including ceramic disc fine bubble diffusers and all associated appurtenances in Aeration Tank No. 1. Provide and install new blower building, wood frame construction, metal exterior wall and roof panels, blowers, piping, valves, fittings, controls, concrete, grading, accessories, and appurtenances, Provide and install louvers, unit heater, and exhaust fan and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. Provide new concrete pads for installation of the new blowers and diesel generator. Provide and install new electrical addition building includingall concrete, cold form framing, metal siding, and roofing, accessories, and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. Prep existing roof and provide re-covering roofing system to the Administration Building as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. Remove existing 125kW generator, automatic transfer switch and generator fuel tank. Equipment shall be salvaged, placed on skids and returmed to the owner. Remove all remaining conduit, wiring and all appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. Provide necessary temporary bulkheads, sandbagging, flow diversion, and appurtenances to allow isolation of wastewater flow to operating units from non- operating construction/demolition units. Reposition temporary bulkheads, sandbagging, flow diversion, and appurtenances as necessary to allow execution of all work. p. Provide inter-connecting air piping, valves, pipe supports, and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein from the blowers to the filter system. q. Provide labeling of new piping. r. Provide final grading and restoration. s. All electrical work as required for the above items to operate as required. Funding for this project involves a loan through the New York State Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund (CWSRF), which is administered by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC). SRF loans mandate the fulfillment of NYSEFC requirements relating to MBE/WBE utilization. Funding for this project involves a grant through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Water Quality Improvement Project (WQIP) grants program. WQIP grants mandate the fulfillment of NYSDEC requirements relating to MBE/WBE utilization.
