GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION - Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to provide tree trimming and maintenance, tree removal, stump grinding, and/or tree emergency response services to the City of Chico. The Contract will be for a three-year period starting February 15, 2024 and ending February 28, 2027. There may be two additional 12-month extension periods upon mutual agreement of City and Contractor, and execution of a contract amendment. All work shall be in accordance with the General Provisions, Special Provisions and sample Contract included in the bid package. QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS - Questions and Requests for Information regarding the project must be submitted through the Public Purchase bid site. Responses to questions will also be posted on the bid site. Questions will only be answered by reference to particular sections of the bid documents. If interpretation is deemed necessary, then clarification will be given to all prospective bidders through addenda. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening. BID AWARD PROVISIONS; REJECTION -The award of bid, if a bid is awarded, will be made to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid complies with all City's requirements within thirty (30) days of the bid opening date. Contractor pricing, qualifications, experience, safety compliance record and strength in terms of resources and ability to perform work will be included in the final assessment of "lowest responsible bidder." PREVAILING WAGES: PAYMENT REQUIRED - The City has determined that payment of State Prevailing Wages will be required on this project.
