This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Chico, California. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

During normal maintenance and street rebuild projects, Public Works occasionally requires services deemed urgent and/or beyond the capabilities of "in-house" resources. The work, in general, consists of providing pedestrian traffic control, removing and replacing of concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways, pedestrian ramps, resetting roadside signs, and/or removing / pruning / grinding tree roots at various locations throughout the term of the contract. The contract term is one (1) year with the option to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods (total of 5 years) subject to mutual consent of the Contractor(s) and the City of Chico. All work shall be in accordance with the Bid Documents. No minimum amount of work is implied or guaranteed under this invitation. All bids shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Chico, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid, and no bid shall be considered, unless such cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond is enclosed therewith. At the time the City awards the contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A, or C-8 Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. Contractor shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the project and warranty period. Questions and Requests for Information regarding the project must be submitted through electronically. Responses to questions will be posted on the bid site. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted by 3:00 P.M. (PST) seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any bid which fails to meet bid requirements in any respect, to reject all bids for any reasons whatsoever and to waive minor irregularities in any bid. In addition to its right to accept or reject any and all bids, the City reserves the right in its sole discretion to base the award of bid on the inclusion of any, all, or none of the additive or alternate bid items included in the bid proposal, if applicable. Further, the City also reserves the right to contract for selected services relating to this Notice Inviting Bids from any Contractor, in part or in whole.
