Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Calmar, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of March 20, 2024, the project was awarded to the low bidder JQ Construction but the awarded amount is not available.** All necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials for the installation of manholes, sewer piping and services, watermain and services, hydrants, curb and gutter, and HMA pavement. Approximate primary quantities are as follows: Manholes: 5 EA 8 Sanitary Sewer: 990 LF 6 Watermain: 1426 LF Fire Hydrant: 3 EA HMA Pavement: 719 TONS The Work shall be constructed along Heney Street between Highway 52 and East Street, in the northeast area of the City of Calmar, Winneshiek County, Iowa. Work shall commence upon the issuance of a written notice to proceed. Work shall be substantially complete by no later than September 30, 2024. All work shall be completed and ready for final acceptance by October 30, 2024. Once work has started, Substantial Completion shall be within 45 working days. Each bid must be accompanied in a separate envelope by a bidding check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) percent of the bid price, said check being either a certified or cashier's check, drawn on a bank in Iowa The City of Calmar, Iowa reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities
