Renovation of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. The work of this contract includes all labor, material and equipment necessary to renovate the existing stage area into teaching break-out classrooms. New area to receive new mechanical and electrical system. A summary of the Work includes, but shall not be limited to 1. Selective demolition of the existing auditorium seating, flooring, lighting, stage curtains, stage lighting systems and select plaster. 2. Selective demolition of gymnasium bleachers, wall pads, vented wall base and the sound system. 3. Installation of new gymnasium bleachers, divider screen, wall pads and vented wall base. 4. Installation of new auditorium seats, flooring, lighting, curtains stage sound and lighting systems. The Chief Procurement Officer Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. Bidders will be required to pay State and Federal Prevailing Wages whenever applicable The construction project will include electrical, painting, and resilient flooring. Estimated cost of the project is Six Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($625,000.00) Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on 4/4/24 The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies.
