Installation of sediment & erosion controls; bituminous and cement concrete pavement; drainage; earthwork; installation of owner-supplied playground equipment, and furnishings; fencing; coordination with Owner's poured-in-place safety surfacing vendors; site restoration and landscaping. These meetings will provide an opportunity for interested parties to inspect the sites and all particulars and resolve questions regarding the scope of work, existing conditions and the specifications. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on February 9, 2024 in order to be considered. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Contractor shall provide control of site access and activities, mobilize personnel, equipment, and materials to the project site, install erosion controls, provide maintenance of the project area and facilities in existing condition or better, and coordinate with the Engineer as required by the specifications or as deemed necessary by the Engineer. B. The Contractor shall keep a record set of prints on which they are to record all approved changes and/or additions to the work made to meet field conditions. This set of drawings is to be given to the Owner at the completion of their work for their use. C. The Contractor shall have a minimum of five years experience in site construction and installation of playground equipment. References shall be provided with the bid. D. Substantial Completion shall be attained by August 5, 2024, and Final Completion by August 19, 2024. Liquidated damages at $1,000 per day shall apply for non-completion by the final completion date.
