**As of April 1,2024 project was awarded to Cross-Roads Asphalt Recycling, Inc., awarded amount is $975,482.50.** The project consists of pavement milling, pavement and subgrade repairs, placement of 3" of asphalt pavement for approximately 5,700 L.F. of Walker Road, from Avon Point to Jaycox Road and Moore Road to Ambleside Drive. The project will also include curb ramp replacement, pavement striping, linear grading and restoration and maintenance of traffic. There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting. The City of Avon Lake is a governmental agency, exempt from any Local, State and Federal sales taxes. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, service and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative code Chapter 123 is required. The owner intends and requires that the project be completed by no later than July 19, 2024. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lorain County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. If the City determines to award the contract, the City will award it based on the lowest and best bid as determined in the discretion of the City.
